The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Alysa Spurlock, a devoted mother, talented digital creator (@alysa_spurlock), and beloved friend, who passed away unexpectedly in Houston, Texas.
Alysa studied at Remington College and was known for her creativity, authenticity, and the way she poured her heart into raising her two daughters, Paislee (11) and Peightyn (7). Her bright energy and deep love for her children touched all who knew her.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. at Trinity Lighthouse Church, where family and friends will gather to remember a life that ended far too soon.
Childhood friend Jennifer Wilkinson shared:
“My childhood friend passed away 😢 Please pray for her family and friends during this time 💜👼 We love you and miss you, Alysa Spurlock.”
Former classmate Kayla Ferrell reflected:
“Alysa was one of the kindest girls I ever met. My heart goes out to her adorable little girls. I pray they never forget the love of their sweet mama.”
A GoFundMe campaign titled “In Loving Memory of Alysa – Help Support Her Girls” has been launched to help cover funeral expenses and support her daughters’ needs in the months ahead. Organized by Caitlin OMalley on behalf of Andrea Clark, the fundraiser has raised $2,055 USD through 40 donations as of this writing.
💜 “This is more than just a fundraiser — it’s a way to show two young girls that their mother’s love didn’t end here. That there’s still a village ready to step in, hold their hands, and help guide them through this heartbreaking journey,” the campaign reads.
The funds will go toward:
-
Funeral and memorial costs
-
Storage unit fees to preserve Alysa’s belongings
-
Back-to-school expenses for Paislee and Peightyn, including clothes, shoes, and supplies
Donations are protected and securely managed, with the campaign actively seeking continued support.
🕊️ Alysa’s sudden departure has left a deep void, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her — especially her daughters, who were truly the center of her world.
